News Release: Up North Pride Free Community Closet Now Open

Up North Pride’s Free Winter Clothing Closet Opens This Week

 

Traverse City, MI – Up North Pride’s Free Community Winter Clothing Closet opens with week, a resource for winter clothing items, including coats, hats, gloves, sweatshirts, long sleeve shirts, pants, and boots. The Free Community Clothing Closet at the Community Center at 314 E Eighth Street will be open to the public starting Tuesday, December 16th. 

 

“We had such an incredible response to our call for donations and have racks and bins full of coats, sweaters, snowpants, hats, scarves and so much more to offer,” says Adrienne Brown-Reasner, Up North Pride Executive Director.  “Whether you are need of something to keep yourself warm in the winter weather or wanting to gift to someone else, all are welcome to come and take what they need from the Community Closet.”

 

In addition to the clothing items, there are also items in the book lending library and art kits available for those looking for items to gift for the upcoming holiday. 

 

The Community Closet will be open this week during the following hours: 

  • Tuesday - 12/16  2pm-5pm

  • Wednesday - 12/17 12pm - 6pm 

  • Thursday - 12/18 12pm - 3pm

  • Saturday - 12/20 9am - 12pm

  • Monday - 12/22 3pm - 7pm

  • Tuesday - 12/23 11am-2pm

 

Additional hours may be added later depending on community need and closet item availability.
