About Us
The Traverse City Housing Commission was established by Ordinance 105 of the City of Traverse City on October 3, 1966 pursuant to Public Act No. 18 as adopted during the Extra Session of 1933. TC Housing operates one public housing property, Orchardview Townhomes and the regional Housing Choice Voucher Program.
In addition to housing programs the Housing Commission offers the Family Self-Sufficiency program which assists our families in obtaining education, developing necessary life skills, and abilities necessary to achieve a self-sufficient status.
The Traverse City Housing Commission is currently in the process of developing multiple new housing projects in our area.
