The Folded Leaf is a unique retail bookstore that combines a love for literature, art, and nature. Founded by Rachel Zemanek, a Leelanau County native and former paramedic and firefighter, this innovative space aims to create a haven for inspired souls who thrive in the world of wonder.
Company Vision and Community Impact:
The Folded Leaf offers an array of experiences, including plant workshops, private parties, and book clubs, while also providing a platform for local musicians. In a commitment to giving back, a portion of profits will support the Northwest Michigan Peer Network (NMPN) and other first responder non-profits, addressing
mental health stigma among first responders in Northwest Michigan and beyond. The shop will also sell NMPN merchandise, with 100% of proceeds directly benefiting the organization.
