Essential Functions
- Performs general bookkeeping services and maintains accurate financial records.
- Prepares financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) and performs month-end close procedures.
- Ensures compliance with accounting standards (GAAP), tax laws, and other regulations.
- Processes payroll, completes quarterly payroll tax returns and payments, as well as the annual filing of W-2's and 1099's.
- Conducts account reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Analyzes financial data, monitors and manages cash flow, identifies trends, and communicates findings to clients.
- Assists clients with implementing and managing accounting software and systems.
- Manages multiple client engagements, including the onboarding of new clients, and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field preferred.
- Five (5) years of experience in accounting and business advisory services; any public accounting experience preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience with payroll processing.
- Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, and similar accounting software is necessary. QuickBooks Advisor certification preferred.
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide consulting services to clients.
- Ability to maintain accurate accounting records and interpret financial reports effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A current, valid driver's license.
